In a bowl, add all the the dry ingredients and give them a good stir
Add water to the dry ingredients (in small amounts) and keep stirring until everything comes together to a dropping consistency (thick batter). Do not beat the batter
Heat oil in a small wok/kadai on medium high heat
Once the oil is hot, use a spoon to drop small amounts of the dough in the oil
Fry until the dumplings/bonda are golden brown
Serve hot with tea or coffee
