Onion raita is a side-dish, mainly paired with variety rice dishes such as tomato rice, vegetable biryani, chicken biryani etc. Its very refreshing and cools you down immediately while you are having a spicy dish such as a biryani! You just need three ingredients to make a simple onion raita: onions, yoghurt/thick curd, and salt! You can make this dish your own by adding green chilis, fresh mint leaves, coriander leaves and also diced cucumber.

Ingredients
- 1 Large Onion Finely chopped
- 1 cup Plain Yoghurt/Curd
- Salt As required
Instructions
- Finely chop the onions
- Add a cup of plain yoghurt/curd to the onions
- Add salt and mix everything thoroughly
- Serve immediately with any of the following: Tomato rice, Chicken biryani, Vegetable Biryani, roti
