Simple Onion Raita Recipe

Onion raita is a side-dish, mainly paired with variety rice dishes such as tomato rice, vegetable biryani, chicken biryani etc. Its very refreshing and cools you down immediately while you are having a spicy dish such as a biryani! You just need three ingredients to make a simple onion raita: onions, yoghurt/thick curd, and salt! You can make this dish your own by adding green chilis, fresh mint leaves, coriander leaves and also diced cucumber.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Large Onion Finely chopped
  • 1 cup Plain Yoghurt/Curd
  • Salt As required

Instructions
 

  • Finely chop the onions
  • Add a cup of plain yoghurt/curd to the onions
  • Add salt and mix everything thoroughly
  • Serve immediately with any of the following: Tomato rice, Chicken biryani, Vegetable Biryani, roti

Notes

You can also add diced cucumber, fresh mint leaves, fresh coriander leaves, or green chilies to make this dish your own!
